I thought I would make my first posting a contribution to those MC28 owners who haven't gotten around to doing the wire splice. Or for those who would like to see a method that doesn't require cutting the harness. Attached are the pics of my jumpers with annotations. Eventually I'd like to get my hands on some actual connectors so I can do a cleaner job. I have wrapped it up neatly with black electricians tape for now.
I'm probably a little late to this show, but what the heck. I recently picked up a very original MC28 Rothman's. My plan is to do the basic derestrictions and play around with it for a few months. Then it will go on display in my living room.
I've secured a PGM4 with HRC 030 card, Tyga exhaust, Tyga airbox and some jets which I am in process of installing. I thought I would share with you all my approach to the wire splice.
Much thanks to Matt at Tyga for his help and answering my questions. Same to Charles for his timely shipment of a shop manual and also answering my questions. And thank you to the rest of you who have made so many posts to help guys like me come up to speed on these great bikes. Finally, thank you to Andy for you dedicated support to this forum. You will probably diss me for not buying an mc21, if I was going racing I might have, but as I mentioned above, it's really just gonna be part of the home decor.
Thanks for going to the effort of posting a well presented idea.
Please post a photo of it on show in the living room in due course _________________ [color=#808080][size=9]Yes,.. I too know how to waste Time and Money,...

You knew that, but just forgot about it, temporarily. _________________ [color=#808080][size=9]Yes,.. I too know how to waste Time and Money,...
