Motorcycle dust covers

Thu Nov 07, 2013 7:28 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I have one of these dust covers. It looks good, is soft and fits well. Problem is they are very expensive to buy and sent to Oz. Sad

These are made from a fabric similar to those Chuxwipes. Does anyone know what that fabric is? They don't look to hard to sew up if you had a machine.

Thanks.

I use a fitted double bed sheet with the elastic edging, they work well, let it breath and don't scratch paintwork or plastics etc.

Obviously only suitable within a garage. A bit budget i know but i have 6 bikes.

Yeap I have bed sheets over mine at present, but it looks a little like a deserted house, just after something tidier to keep the mrs happy, she does give me pretty well free go.

Check out Oxford brand lined covers. The quality is really good and they are lined so won't scratch your bike. I have seen them at motorcycle shops in Melbourne for aprox $70.

I had a 'Rothmans' one made up in the correct colours. Fleece lined, lovely cover.

I'm sure it look great but I have about a dozen bikes and I don't want to pay a fortune for chux-wipes, when I could sew some up myself? You must be able buy that cloth somewhere?
