JHA Exhaust Mounting

Mon May 16, 2005 8:29 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi All,

Can any one tell me where i can get some exhaust straps for JHA end cans. The standard end bolt to the rear bracket but the JHA end cans dont have the same tab for bolting then again the frame bracket.

Does anyone know what i'm talking about or do you think the down pipes will support the weight of the end cans?

Jamie

PS.The chaps around Fareham way must drop us an email to meet up for a ride.

I think most people like the look of the cans unsuported hence no clamps. Myself like the cans to be clamped as i do a fair milage on my bike and have had the cambers crack due to the weight of the cans. Andy also has straps fitted for this reason (well his wobbled aroudn to much)

As for where you can get some if you want, there must be someone around that makes exhaust that would be able to make you some. Or try Swarbrick, they sell them in kit form so you can and drill your own.

It's a bit Heath Robinson, but Halford and the like do some fairly large jubilee clips which you could use. Not pretty, but it would support the cans.
