Trying to find out how to deal with this missing thread. Race bike so not a huge concern except the other insert on this side is close to stripping so could use the extra strength if I could find out how to replace.

You get a tool to squash the insert in there , they call it a nut insert tool or a blind rivet tool or a rivnut . You get them in steel or aluminium .
