Ready for summer

Sun Apr 06, 2014 5:02 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

De mothballed mc16 from winter slumber today.
Was running a bit off when I put it away last November, so today I put fresh fuel in, changed spark plugs , cleaned air filter, changed gear box oil, topped up 2 stroke oil, checked oil pump setting and power valves. Fitted new gel type battery and on third kick she fired into life.
Sounds spot on.
Pouring with rain up here in the Yorkshire dales today so I will wait for a dry weekend before taking to the road and heading up to devils bridge.
Are there any of you forum members already out on the road or are we all waiting for the sun to come out?
Happy times are just around the corner. Cool
Daz

Hi Daz... me and my 2 stroke pals will be heading up into the dales once the weather picks up... its a great part of the world and superb roads, ideal for little 2T's.... last time we were up there in October it was pretty wet and cold, we stayed in the green dragon at Hardraw..... roll on summer

Hi Nobby62,
If you are heading up to devils bridge sometime this summer, give me a shout and I'll come and have a bacon butty and a coffee with you.
What do you and your mates ride?

I had my MC18 out for an MOT 3 weeks ago, which also included a nice blast to Cricklade.
Off to see Stephen in Plymouth on Saturday for new reeds & a health check
