Previous CR experience has generated interest in our services, and this awesome example of Honda 2-stroke savagery was dropped off at the workshops for a lick of the porting tool last week!

New PWK carb, along with some tickling of the ports and head, and some "other" mods...

Power is up around 10% at peak, but there are impressive gains everywhere else of around 20%... it's lively! Smile

What's even more impressive though, is the 20% increase in torque, and the fact it's gained everywhere, and lost nothing!

Impressive power curve, I would love to see that overlayed with a modern CRF450. I imagine the CR would make it look a little anemic!

They are a real mans bike them which is why I never raced one , I found a 250 was more than adequate for breaking my bones Very Happy

Back in the 80's when all the top riders raced the Le Touqet beach race the works Hondas used to pull 125mph plus down the main straight.

I noticed the road tires. What is the plan for this bike. Perhaps an rs250 fairing and seat? Seems like it would make for a fun track day bike. There are some folks over here in the US who have taken a Yamaha 450 4T motorcross bike and made it into a race bike. Looks like a moto3 bike but goes a bit quicker.

The bike is used for tarmac hillclimbs.

There's more to be had from it, but we were limited for time, so did what we could for now. We hope to see it back soon, for more development.

We saw a CRF250 dressed up as a Moto3 bike at our last track day too. Apart from the fact it was a 4-stroke, it was pretty trick! Wouldn't mind seeing the same done with an alloy framed CR!
