Blanking extra oil feed hole MC28

Sat May 24, 2014 11:21 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi guys, how have you gone about blanking the extra oil feed hole on the later mc21 and mc28 engines?

I didn't even know it was there!

Cheers

With a 4.5x8 o-ring, there's an HRC part number for it (90807-NKD-940).

Don't have the engine in front of me today so can't check, but how does this work? It just looks like a small hole, wouldn't you need more than an o-ring?

Ah, my mistake - bad memory.

The HRC part is a plug, or you can use an o-ring and a big blanking plate.

It's been a while since I put a 2t race motor together - sorry Embarassed

You leak test and find it? =]

I use an o-ring and plate along with a plug for the oil pump shaft.

Nah no leak test (yet). Just wondered what was going on when I took off the pump as my older engine didn't have it. So an o-ring and a plate... Will see if I can make something up.

Is there one also for that small hole next to the oil pump shaft hole?
