Fired up my NSR after a ground up rebuild on Saturday and all went well aside from the tacho not responding at all.

I didn't get a chance to trace the fault but i was hoping some gurus had come across this before?

Going to have a play with it this weekend, looking at the MC21 schematic, am i right in assuming the component up in the top left labelled RPM with a diode across it is the tacho?

Or is this the illumination circuit for it? Hard to tell.

I'd test the yellow green wire at the 6 and 9 pin gauge connectors first. As I read the schematic, that wire split between the 2 connectors is your rpm signal.

Fixed, poor earth contact on the rear of the tacho.
