bleeding the oil pump - mc18

Sun Aug 24, 2014 12:04 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi all,

I'm trying to bleed my oil pump and I wanted a second opinion. Firstly, I am running the bike on premix, I have taken out the bleed screw, and while the bike is running, I am holding the pulley on the pump at full open as per the instructions in the engine rebuild section.

Afew bigger air bubbles came out, but these little ones won't go away regardless of how long I run the bike... are these acceptable, or am I doing something wrong.

Cheers,

did you shake the oil before you put it in the oil tank ?
