What colour should my plugs be?

Wed May 18, 2005 7:37 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi all,

A new mc21 owner and had a few question about plugs and engine noises.

1. The plugs I currently have in the bike are BR9ECM. Are the correct?
2. I took the front plug out after a small run and notice it was very black and oily. Should this be like this?

3. Clutch noise. Do dry clutches make noise even when it disengaged?

4. Pinging noise. It sounds like I’m getting this odd pinging noise? doesn't snd like its to any beat, I think its the clutch or just a two stroke?

5. Who can I take my bike in the south of Hampshire with two stroke or nsr expertises?

I depends on where you are reading the plug, and how you are riding the bike. Lugging it and cruising around town may not clean them off properly. If this is the case, then you should run a hotter plug, but switch back to a cooler plug for WOT riding.

PLEASE LOOK AT THIS PAGE, AND SAVE THE SMALL PICTURE FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL USE:

Dry clutches make the MOST noise when they are disengaged, and have a small ring/tinny sound when engaged.
