Front Rotor Handing

Tue Mar 10, 2015 4:58 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Does anyone know why some front rotors are handed left and right? Best I can tell from part numbers NSR rotors are not handed. But for example CBR900RR rotor part numbers are different for left and right hand sides. And does it matter if NSR rotors get swapped from left to right say after removal for a respray?

Thanks.

Usually it's the hole pattern or groove direction on them. It doen't matter on the 87~93 NSRs. MC28s are handed.

MC21 discs on an MC28:

MC28 discs:

88~97 discs are all the same size and offset. The hole patter on 94~97 is the only real difference with any consequence.
