MC28 electrical niggle

Tue Aug 18, 2015 5:51 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Advice please, on my MC28, when I take out the smart card the LCD display & the side stand warning lamp stay illuminated.

The 'card present' switch is working fine. The only thing I can find is that the switch on the steering lock has been bypassed. Could this be the reason?

Thanks

Ben

Hi,

Running a standard card at the moment.

I'm not sure what should happen on an mc28 as I brought it as a non runner. I've read somewhere on here that the lights etc come on as soon as the card is inserted?

Thought it could be a sticking relay perhaps?

I'll keep digging

Problem solved & as usual it's something really simple.

The previous owner had put a fuse in the 'spare' slot which meant that the circuits normally switched by the main relay were permenantly live.

The power of a wiring diagram ! Very Happy
