Just in case anyone out there is having ignition issues, i tested the resistance on my pulse coils and they were both in spec. However i have heard that sometimes when the winding breaks the resistance can be virtually unchanged but the output is. So after buying a set of used pulsers just to rule that out before shelling out on two new CDIs, i wired them up and problem solved. The resistance readings between the bad coils and the good were virtually identical. Strange stuff electricity.
