Hello
I was just changed my cdi modules! Bike was hard to start, but finally started, ran good for about 10 minutes and than just shut down! Tacho was going crazy with the engine off! Had a multimeter on the battery at the time! 13.6 when running! Dropped to 11.8 engine stopped! The tacho going crazy make me think I have a short somewhere! Any help?
Thanks
Tim

The reading across the battery terminals should be a steady 14.5V [+/-1V] with the motor running.

Use the Electrex Fault Finding Guide to check your system. It could be the reg/rec on the way out.

Hello
I will be going through the flow chart! Just waiting for a new battery! Just a quick question! How hot should the ref be! I know it should be warm! But mine i can feel the heat through the fairing! Hence new battery! Thought it might be a bad battery drawing to much!
Thanks
Tim
