RS250 swingarm on a MC28

Sat May 21, 2005 8:00 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Anyone know if a Honda RS250 single sided swingarm will fit on a MC28?

Will a MC 28 wheel fit on a RS250 swing arm?

Thinking about doing a swap (purely for looks of course) Laughing

No it will not. The Pro-Arm RS250 has the final drive on the opposite side to the NSR. Why would you want to fit a different Pro-Arm to Pro-Arm model anyway?! I could maybe understand if you wanted to fit it to an MC18 or MC21 or if your reason was to try and save some weight, but not for looks as there's hardly anything in it Confused

Why? You're going backwards! You need to fit an RS250 wheel the the MC28 Pro-Arm as it is both a wider rim and lighter!

Yeah, I guess having the drive side on the other side would be a problem Laughing

Not unless you put an RS250 engine in that 28 too Laughing

You'd be better off registering the RS250 for the street, as fitting the latest RS motor into the NSR chassis would be a nightmare installation - if you could get it to fit!

The latest RS motor is significantly different to the pre '92 motor that pretty much slots straight in.
