Identifying Coil (+) and (-) terminals

I am installing a Battle Factory quick shifter. Current is interupted to the positive terminal of the coil. How do you determine which coil terminals are positive and which are negative?

The colours are the give away.

On a Honda, green is always negative and black is always positive.

You'll see that the connector terminals on the coil are colour coded (black and green). Easy as that.
