Suspension Options

Thu Mar 24, 2016 1:32 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I've been looking around but can't find anything for my MC21's suspension besides the Ohlins options from Tyga. Does anybody offer springs, emulators, etc. for a 200 lb. guy that wants to track their 26 year old NSR?

I weigh in at 180 lbs and track my bike so the leathers add 20 lbs. I put on a nitron shock with a spring for my riding weight on the track. Works great.

I considered rebuilding the stock shock with a stiffer spring, but decided just to buy new.

Thank you, I'll look into that.

I only have one track I want to play with the NSR on (I have a purpose built ZX6R I race), the rest of the time will be street. Ultimate performance isn't the goal, but this bike clearly wasn't built for westerners. Front end enhancements appear to be lacking. I'd consider a fork swap and have seen triple replacement options but really don't want to get that deep into this project.

SB suspensions can set you up with fork springs. He put an ohlins damper and spring in mine for me. You may not need all that but the springs will help to support the modern man.
