lost my tail light and brackets!

Tue Mar 29, 2016 12:48 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

So I returned from a ride on my MC21 to find a gaping hole in the back of my bike! Tail light gone, the surround piece gone, mounting brackets gone, fairing mount broken - apparently just broke off and I never even knew it! WTF! Anyway, I have a spare tail light and surround piece, but I don't have the mounting brackets (and lots of screw bits, but those I can get). As best I can tell, what I need are called Tail light A Bracket and Tail light B bracket (83502-KV3-830 and 83504-KV3-830). Does anyone have any of these lying around, maybe someone who converted the rear end? Can't ride the bike until I can get the tail light mounted up securely. Crying or Very sad Thanks for any help.

I've got bits and pieces lying around, got any photos of the gaping hole and I'll try and rummage around my boxes of bits for you.

That would be fantastic! Let me know what you have and what you want for it. Best I can tell, looking at parts manual for MC21 (e.g., p. I-3), I'm missing the straight bracket that allows the surround piece to screw in at bottom, and bracket above that.....the support for the rear cowl seems still to be there. I will try to post link to pics - don't really know the procedure to post directly here. Anyway, thanks for willingness to help!

Sorry Jim it's taken some time. I haven't found the brackets yet (too many boxes and toys, and excuses for having my gear not sorted).

I'll keep hunting, I have seen home made brackets made, that can probably do you in the interim until one pops up.

Thanks, appreciate the effort. I'm trying to source something on eBay if I can so don't move mountains trying to find it. Thanks though for trying.
