MC21 Rebuild

Fri Jun 10, 2016 6:47 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hey all I am currently in the process of a ground up rebuild on my mc21 that I've owned for about 13years I have just broke the bank on a bunch of goodies and while I await their arrival you can imagine I have plenty to do! First question is.. Is there somewhere to source a new waterpump drive gear? As you all know yes its cracked and looks a little ****, secondly my clutch push rod would move out a few millimetres but would not come any further as the end was burred, I am wanting to double check the orientation of the push rod, I assume the hole in the end faces the clutch actuator shaft to supply oil to the bearings? I am sure I have more questions at some point haha. Any help would be appreciated, btw the mods will be the tyga 300cc kit thus being more economical parts wise as NZ sucks for spares, ss chambers and new silencers, tyga carbon fairings, new crank and seals blah blah the list goes on.

Thanks! Laughing

Hi there, good luck with the rebuild, sounds like the bike I want to build next! Sorry to hear about the water pump drive gear, I just had a look I have 2, both with splits on the side by the shaft aswell Sad! 3D printer anyone! Regarding pushrod, one end should be slightly dished to receive the single ball bearing at the clutch end.

Hi, dogfight makes a more sturdy ones, for mc28 not sure about mc21, but it should be the same. You can always get it from auction but it would cost roughly about 300SGD for 1. hope this helps
