Uploading photos

Need some advice on uploading photos.

I've tried to upload 1 photo from my iPad but is says the file is too big.

Advice please

I just used an app on my iPad to shrink pictures to fit. I found 600 X 400 pixels work. The app is called Image Size and I think it was free. Not sure if it's the best way but it worked for me.
