New NSR250 questions from newbie

Wed Sep 07, 2016 2:01 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi guys, I just got an MC21 complete (in pieces), minus wheels. Can anyone tell me where to find any used NSR250 wheels, or what other bike wheels might fit? I have several sets of RZ350 wheels, but suspect they are too heavy. This bike came with Tyga body pieces, chambers and 300 big bore cylinders/pistons. Do any of you have good experience with these larger cylinders? I hope that they will boost low-end performance as I am not a racer, but like to accelerate on the street here in Atlanta, GA. Final mystery question for you experts out there- What year and model might Vin# MC21 1064564 be? This bike came with a Tyga sub-frame, so I can't get the numbers off the original. Is there any way to tell what I have? Previous owner said it did not have lights originally, but did have a battery. I can't find an ignition switch amongst my parts and a toggle switch was added to the speedo/tach area.

What the heck might I have?

Thanks for any help you might share with a newbie!

Keith

Model ID Lookup

Mon Sep 19, 2016 3:49 am » Post: #2 » Download Post

You can find a model lookup link on TSO.US.COM or click this link if it works

http://tso.us.com/parts-book/honda/0250nsr250/id-model/2-index/model-id.asp

I'm in the same boat as you are, I bought a half assembled bike and trying to finish it off. Maybe we can help each other as I have a bunch of stuff and debating on trying to finish a second bike or sell of the remaining parts.

Regards,
