Hello, everyone, I picked up a MC18 a few years ago as a rolling chassis for a good price. I recently came across a MC16 engine in good shape. Will the MC16 engine bolt into the MC18 frame without modification? I understand other bits might be different . I am just concerned about the main mounting points, chain alignment, etc. I know it wouldnt be a true OEM original bike but just wanting to get it back on the road without costing an arm and a leg and this is one option.

My Apologies, I just found a thread regarding this. Apparently the rear portion of the cases are different. However one person commented that it only required some grinding in a few areas for fitment. Does anyone have any more info or photos on this so I can see what I might be getting myself into?

One of the main areas they differ is the mountings as mc18 uses flexible rubber bushes and I believe mc16 engine uses solid mounts. I have an mc18 engine disassembled on my workbench so if you need any dimensions for comparison let me know.
