I have a pair of R1268N 1456 needles in my NX 5 carbs. Can anyone tell me which needle is (one size) richer than this? The part numbers are in the manual, but it's not obvious to me which is richer and which is leaner. I want to try a needle which will make the mixture richer between half and three quarters rpm.

3466 is thicker (leaner) than 3366, hence needing to lift it half a clip to equal 3366.
Therefore a 1267 is thinner (richer) than your 1268.
The needles get thicker (leaner) as the number (and part number) increases. This is the same convention as the HRC NSR250 and RS250 NF5 needles.
The NSR250 TT-F3 manuals and NF5 parts manuals used to list the needle sizes in the notes section. I don't know why they stopped doing it in the later manuals. _________________ Andy.
