Does anyone here have experience with decarbonizing carbon endcan? As there are rivets on the endcan, I'm afraid if I remove and change the wool I would damage the integrity of the carbon tube, whereas if I were to use heat/fire to burn out the excessive 2t inside my endcan, I might also damage the carbon tube. Any help here would be very much appreciated!
Hi Jarrod, your best bet is to drill out the rivets and remove the endcap, that way you get all the old lagging out, ( presuming theres some in there ), it may seem a bit drastic and scary but take your time and it should go well, i have done this several times with no problem, if you accidently make the holes a bit larger, use the next size rivets on assembly. _________________ Proud Father of , 05 ktm 400exc supermoto 2018 honda crf rx supermoto
