In no particular order, I would like to thank the following for a superb weekend!
GT Motorcycles, for the loan of a van and allowing us to over-run their Plymouth branch/dyno yesterday!
Jeff Savage and RockOil Southwest for supporting us, giving away some freebies and technical tips, and for being an all-round nice chap!
Andy Hook and Cheaptrackdays.com for a superb, friendly and cheap event at Llandow!
The marshals at Llandow for staying on an extra 30 mins while we took a photoshoot of all the NSRs on the track at the end of the day!
StephenRC45 for working his ass off on the dyno all day, taking a 30 minute break only to strip Waynes MC18 motor, and also allowing hoardes of relatively unknowns to crash out at his house!
NSR.Wayne - winner of the "most spirited award" for being such a good sport even when his MC18 had the hiccups!
Dave Ett for taking on the role of an extra instructor as soon as he turned up, even though we found out later his bike was only making 44hp!!!
Keith Butcher, Jeff Williamson, Tom Hofton, Leigh Frost, Nigel Moss, for adding another 6 NSR250s to the assault!
Warwick and Rachel for bringing along the ever pristine NSR150SP - oh, and for introducing another convert to NSRs... I'll let you know when a nice MC21 comes up for sale!!
Martin Johnson (very impressive TDR250), Martin Froggatt (very nice KR1-S), Lee Shepherd (beautiful RGV250K Pepsi), David Reynolds (RGV250M & RS300), Nigel's mate sorry, forgot your name! (RD350LC), who all came along for dyno runs at GT Performance on Saturday.
Billy Wilson and John Stacey for coming along even though both their NSRs are currently non-functional! (Mind you, they did run 400s at the track-day!)
And a big big thank you to everyone else who made it to either or both events, who I've managed to miss out - there were so many!
In the end, we managed a total of 12 NSRs at Llandow on Friday, and ran 11 bikes on the dyno on Saturday, some of them several times to aid setting up! Most improved had to be Dave Ett's MC21, who gained 6hp with a change of just 1 (read, ONE!) main jet size! Shame on you Dave for the state of those RC Valves too! We will be keeping a close eye on you for future meetings! Expect some very critical scrutineering next time we meet up!!!
Watch this space for some photo's soon, and details of our next planned meeting!!! _________________ Andy.

Just a note to say thanks for letting the old TDR in on the day, and how nice it was to see a load of two strokes in the same place (seems to be getting rarer these days...?) pity about the weather today though eh?
-and if anyone wants a one off budget set of pipes making (not stainless just yet) let me know....(look me up on the TDR forum)
Just to stick up for Dave alittle bit his bike did just top 50bhp and if he had been able to spare another hour im sure he could of seen much closer to 60 (if he could be bothered to adjust the RC valves).
I think on the dyno all the bikes in one way or another were very impressive, Nigel's MC21 for being oh so smooth, Lee Shepherd's very clean VJ21 which managed very good power. Even Daves inpressed me in some ways... It takes alot of effort to produce less power than standard!
Well done to everyone that we didnt have a single misfortune on the dyno day which just goes to show how well all these bikes are looked after. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
I think everyone was giggling too much! It was like a bunch of 17 year-olds down the "chippy" most of the day!
Wayne even admited to chuckling like a schoolboy behind his black visor when ragging round on StephenRC45's MC21!
I have to say the highlight of my day was Racer38's face as he came back into the paddock for the first time after nearly 2 years (I think) off the MC28 after a very serious accident - closely followed by his face after we fitted a new clutch between sessions and he rediscovered about 10hp worth of drive onto the front straight!! _________________ Andy.

I must say how impressive Martin's pipes were on the TDR. I have spoken to him about making some "development" pipes, in mild steel for the time being, for track-day/racing NSRs out there, so we will keep you up to date on that should anyone be interested.
Please see this thread for more details, and to register any interest. _________________ Andy.

Awesome weekend, thanks to everyone involved in setting up and running everything, shame my '28 is in pieces but it was ace to see so many 2/s in one place, the whole thing was such a good time, I didn't hear one bad word spoken over the entire weekend by anyone, no idiots out on the track, no crashes, no red flags, nearly every session was dry, perfect. Those who didn't / couldn't go missed something pretty superb.
Was this the biggest gathering of NSRs outside of Japan?
And especially thanks to Andy and Stephen for the effort organising everything and working their asses off all weekend, letting people stay, running everyone around, paying for stuff left, right and centre, showing us the sights (and a very nice sight a couple of them were too) etc.
We'll (the Monkey and I) probably be down to pick up his '21 soonish, but as my lovely (well I like her) favorite ex didn't seem too sad to see me I may be in the vicinity earlier.
So, when are we doing something next? _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
i had a brillant weekend,i cant think of a better group of people to spend the weekend with, big thanks to stephen for the loan of his bike,a place to sleep, striping my bike down and taking me sight seeing, thanks to andy hook for the loan of his r6,thankyou to nigle and claire and their two mates for keeping my boy amused and anyone who talked to him, thanks to monkeys mrs for keeping my mrs company, thanks to the comedy double act that is monkey and fontyyy for making me laugth, and thanks to all the others for just being there and finally, the daddy of nsr-world big A.G,thanks for putting the weekend together,oh and big thanks to jeff for putting up with me.
oh i see! last on the list and no thanks for lending you my spare bike for the ride out, even after you had trashed yours again i knew you were pissed off getting your ass kicked by a stock MC16 and i bet you broke that mirror off my trick 16 in spite
i had a great time and my thanks also goes to every one who made it possable. what a great bunch of people to hang out with. the track day was ace, i have never had a better time on a bike, i advise everyone whos never been on a track to come along and give it a go next year.
thanks again to everyone i met for making it a great event
Well I don't want this to turn into some sort of oscar night thank you speech, but big thanks to Andy G for the loan of the front sproket retaining plate after mine fell off in the third session.
Suppose I'd better also say thanks to the eagle eyed track marshal who found my missing clamping bolt from the bottom yoke whilst he drove round the track in his pick-up. I just thought the front end 'chatter' was from the high speeds I was entering the first corner.
Thanks to Dave Ett for taking the time to give me a little coaching. After learning how to brake properly for the tight first corner, my arms and legs are now shagged from trying to hold on.
Finally Stephen for fitting the new clutch plates, (and Andy for roughing up the steel plates) whilst I looked on. I can't beleive they didn't tell me to do it....must love tinkering with NSR I guess. And I thought that it was the rear lighting up as I exited the last corner...not an over abused clutch finally giving up!
Good to meet you all, must do it again some time. Brands anyone.....Leigh I know you want too?
had a marvelous time at the track, really nice to put names to faces and to see soooo many two strokes in one place.
thanks to Stephen for putting me up (and putting up with me) and to Andy for organising to whole thing, oh and Andy Hook for the most relaxed trackday i have ever done.
hello to everyone, Nigel and Claire, Jeff, Wayne and all the people at the Dyno day.
like Fontyyy said whens the next one. _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

I too really enjoyed it, despite arriving late and leaving early. I had no intentions of getting out on the track, but Andy Hook is a persuasive guy, and in no time at all I was out in an instructors bib with the novices. All looked to be having fun, and after the session I gave pointers to those I thought needed it. Mostly relax, and move your weight about more!
The night out on Friday was a blinder, and despite the conversation being 90% bike, not one cross word was heard. It really was a pleasure to be out with a bunch of like-minded blokes. And the girls there weren't bad either...
Saturday was quite an eye opener for me, as I'd expected more from my bike, but was happy to see such a large improvement from one jet size change. Just goes to show how damn fast I was round Llandow eh?
Of course, the downside of whipping the tank off in front of everyone was that they could all see the hideous state of my bike, and much piss taking ensued. Gits. But yeah, I deserved it... In my humble defence, it's been sat in my pikey van since it came off the tack two years ago, and I threw it together in two days just for the weekend. Passed an MOT ok...
Oh, and it WORKED!
Can't wait for the next one, though since I'm organizing it I can't promise track time or a dyno. But i will try... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

so youre saying you just threw your power valves together a few days before? I think not, i bet they have been like that since you got the bike! Plus the wrong spark plugs.. shame on you! _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
No, I'm saying I set them up about 3 years ago, and haven't touched them since! My corner speed was always the issue, not the bike's straight line abilities!
As for the plugs, I dunno. I remember buying them from Elliots a couple of years ago, and probably assumed that since they were the importers the plugs were right. Just goes to show eh?
