engine problem

i am trying to wire a mc18 loom onto a mc16 motor but the mc16 motor only has a 3 prong plug on it and the 18 has a 4prong.

the exta wire is an earth right???

how do i get the other wires wired in the correct order when putting it into the new 4 prong plug???

Which bit of the motor are we talking about? The generator?

yes the generator.

has three yellow wires coming out of it. dont know how they have to be arranged in the new one for it to work.

i believe with your mc16, the ground would be one of those three current wires.

dont think so. it is a three point ac generator. ground would just come off the motor.
