Mc 28 wire splice

Hello All,

I'm new to the forum & have recently brought an MC 28 SE (can't afford an SP!) after hankering after one for years !

Quick question if I perform the wire splice & use a hrc card do I need to run pre mix or can the oil pump still be retained ?

The oil pump is mechanical, with an electronic "governor" solenoid. You will lose functionality of the solenoid [which varies the oil flow rate depending on conditions] with the HRC card, but the baseline linear flow rate will remain unaffected.

Will it hurt the bike to run HRC card with oil pump or is it safe to run HRC with oil pump

Or do you recommend premix with HRC card

Have on jha pipes no other mods

I run HRC card and the oil pump. With a 300 kit and a ton of other goodies. It gets tracked hard, never an oil pump issue. Why....I like to know the oil pump is lubricating the thing and its less likely to sieze on me if the jetting isn't perfect. But lately jetting has been spot on.

I may remove it someday and even replace mechanical water pump with an electric one, but chances are I will never get to it. Thinking to go Grom racing next year.
