R or SE - that is the question

Thu Apr 21, 2005 4:27 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Is there any way to tell if a bike originally started off as an R, SE or SP ?

If not, when I submit my bike to the posers page (if I ever get round to it) can I put it in as an R with SE extra's Very Happy , I will get 4 more points that way Laughing (I think I will need all the points possible, might even have to buy 4 paddock shirts for an extra 40 points Laughing )

From my working:-

MC28SE - standard 8 points

MC28R - 7 points, but also get pose points for suspension and dry clutch if you modify it, that gives you 12 points.....surely to have an original SE is worth more than a modified R ???

The chassis number will tell you what it originally was. So you're gonna have to get hold of a stamp and some stickers too! Laughing

Or maybe I could just have the 12 points that I would have had if it was an R with the extras, maybe and extra point cos its a real SE.

If you compare pose points, surely a real SE more posey than an R with the extras, maybe Andy can have a rethink, at the moment I will be rock bottom ! Crying or Very sad

Maybe Andy will feel sorry for me and give me extra points for owning two NSRs (MC18 and MC28) and also driving a honda car (S2000)...are there any loyalty points ? Wink

Do loyalty points actually get you anything at tesco's? Never anything worth while, but an extra point on the poser page could see me above you....now that will be worth it !

Andy...do you take bribes to keep me above Barry when we enter ?

All bribes graciously accepted! Laughing

Now, there are three ways to look at this...
    1. A stock "SE" is more desirable than a stock "R", so yes, would be worth more points... see points system.
    2. Posers' World is about modification and posing down the pub with your mates! Therefore, a modified "R" must be worth more points than a stock "SE"... see points system!
    3. You really could just buy 4 paddock shirts to be sure!!!!!

Does that mean if I buy a a few paddock shirts, my SE will also become a modified R Wink ? Or maybe I was conned when I bought it and its really just an R with some mods, who can be sure ???????

I have been trying hard to work out what items to buy which give greatest value points per pound spent...its got to be the NSR world clothing so thats where my money will have to go (make sure you bring plenty to the dyno day).

I think I found the secret formula for getting on the top (or very close to) of the poser list.

You will all have to wait till the pictures come out to know how to do it Smile

Bless, i don't think my bike will ever make it too the posers page well not for a few months anyway until certain BLING is added!!! Andy what are these clothing items, had a look but the line drawings were pretty ambiguous, are they all black?thought i would add a few to the summer wardrobe Laughing
Watfordhorn you obviously appreciate the old Honda's, i think as you are both a Honda car and bike owner your posing power should be somewhat increased,it shows true loyalty,Also the fact you have 2 bikes!!!!!
Do you know i have never actually seen another nsr250 on the road the only time i have ever seen another one is parked at Donnington, guess that's another reason the head to the Dyno day Laughing

It's all line drawings Babe because I don't have anyone to model for me!! Wink

Seriously though, I tried laying the garments flat and photgraphing them, but the pictures don't really come out very well.

All the garments are black. Maybe I should add the picture of Jeff wearing his to the Site!! Hmmm... thinking about it, I have a picture of StephenRC45 in his too!... What do you reckon Steve? Post the picture of you?! Twisted Evil
