True FB has all but killed off a lot of forums... Some have got rid of the general section too and just keep it as a technical forum.
I would just search for NSR and go and look round and add any that seem OK. There is a good 2 stroke sports bike page (two actually) One is 2 Stroke Sports Bikes the other is 2Stroke SportsBikes.. Wonder which came first?? Haha... Sticking the 2Stroke and SportsBikes together is a little cheeky but both are good pages.
It depends what exactly you're after. Blowing my own trumpet a bit however, you won't find anywhere as focussed as NSR-WORLD, or with as much [accurate and focussed!] information, or as many knowledgable people. Facebook posts tend to go off-topic very rapidly.
Facebook for socialising, maybe... but our forum and website for the tech stuff. _________________ Andy.

This is the worst thing about social media. Yes its great for quick stuff and throw away comments. Forums do have a place but seem to be losing ground with a lot of members just spending more and more time on Facebook. I was a moderator at Performance Bikes, work got in the way of my free time and it was handy to catch up with people as I had less time to spend on my own bikes. I have only just started using forums again and have noticed how slow many of the new posts seem to appear. You can have posts almost a year old on the first page etc.
But then some forums have become more and more of a clique so it has become a place were some users just dont feel part of the group. I heard this and felt it was wrong but then saw this happen after it was pointed out and it did seem to be one of the nails in the coffin for some of its members. Even I have asked the odd direct question from one person in particular who saw and read the message but totally blanked it and not even a sorry I dont know or a FCUK OFF I dont like you.. It puts a cloud over the experience and that person runs a business and will have lost a lot of future custom with that attitude. Forum owners, vendors and those who benefit financially from a forum need to use it more as a way to keep and nurture customers. The way we use social media has changed and forums and its owners need to change with it. One forum removing is chat section is pushing people to its facebook page and that page has a fraction of the number of users compared to its forum. It will suffer by being harder for people to use by mixing up where people visit.
Until Facebook build some form of forum into its options it will be harder for many forums to keep going and survive. It will be a sad loss for many and for a few it will be a time where they find a solution to the issue and make the two work hand in hand...
We have our Facebook page(s) for the very reason you mention... so many people are glued to social media day and night. You also cannot argue with the way Facebook's developers deliver a platform to display content that's not only easily accessible, but also easy to create, and produced by one of the major trend setters in the business.
We obviously have NSR-WORLD [over 6300 followers], but also Donny Park (after Facebook insisted I changed the name from "NSR-WORLD Racing") [nearing the 5000 friend threshold], and Performance Engineering [over 3800 followers]. Can't argue with those numbers, or with getting "likes" from names I truly revere like Takuma Aoki and Shuhei Nakamoto on some of our content! Facebook has put us in touch with people at TSR, Moriwaki, and HRC, as well as other companies and private individuals who have helped us develop over the last 3 years.
However, coming back down to Earth, while you can have a bit of a chat on there, and get some quick-fire responses (often from commenters who really should just stick to looking at pretty pictures!), you can't really search out previous technical content. You have to rely on remembering you saw a post about that X number of weeks or months ago, and then go looking for it! (Usually via looking through an associated photo album, which is fine until you find out that whoever runs the page just lumps everything into a single "mobile uploads" album, or into "xxxx's photos" album.)
Hopefully, with over 10,000 [mostly] quality and on-topic posts, this forum will remain the place to get the best info. Even if it ultimately becomes more of an archive than anything else. If only the phpbb search feature was better! _________________ Andy.

Andy...your spot on. This forum is the go to place for any NSR250 issues, I have yet to see an issue come up that someone on here doesn't know the answer to.
I logged into FB recently to get a picture someone posted of me on my Dirt bike.
“Welcome back Simon, You last logged in, 5 years ago.” I’m not addicted.
I need to learn it a bit better, as many events are now only advertised there.
(My girlfriend finds me Classic race meetings - what a girl!)
I’m a big fan of technical forums. It’s amazing to me, that we can pool such an enormous amount of knowledge for the benefit of fellow enthusiasts.

Thank you, Leigh. Your support, despite plenty of (friendly!) piss-taking over the years, is genuinely appreciated!

I hope I can help out, and be helped out.
We've worked hard to keep the forum NSR/RS specific, and the content primarily technical. I hope you find us a useful resource, and that our members can help you out when needed. _________________ Andy.
