Was looking for info online and came across this Forum then realised i signed up here before when i bought the bike, any way going to start restoring the bike but one motor problem i have is a dead cdi, the info im chasing is can i mix cdi units as the only working one i have is a chinese remake so if i get another original will it work fine with the chinese one
I had the same problem with my mc16 ignition i removed the hard cover on the side with no connector, and i found several loose contacts.
The connector had 5 loose solderings, and all over the print in total 7 loose solderings,and its working again.
I say try it its worth it.
Its a general problem with Honda ignitions.
