I am interested in knowing the order of the frnt wheel spacers. According to CGallant, there are two, one longer than the other. (This bike arrived in boxes, so I don't have an example to look at)
As you sit on the bike, would the order be: Thick end of axel, shorter spacer, longer spacer, axel nut? Or are the shorter and longer pieces reversed?
I am definitely missing something because when I torque down the nut on the right side, the wheel still has too much side to side play - and my spacers are the same size. (Could be that the longer spacer I need is hidden in another box)
I also have another piece, a thin spacer with a lip on it, that looks like it goes on the axel somewhere, but I don't know where.
End Bolt, Large Spacer, Small Spacer, Axle. The large end of the axle will go through the fork, and push the small spacer tight.
If you have two spacers the same size, then I am suspecting you are either missing something, or you haven't come across the correct spacer yet. _________________ Charles Gallant
So the end nut is on the left side of the bike as you sit on it? I am pretty sure that when i took the bike apart (granted it was a while ago now) I took the nut off on the right side and pulled the axel out through the left side.
This would also be consistent with the PC800 I parted out a couple years ago, which had a similar style front axel.
By the way, this is for a MC21 SP/SE (but no Magteks)
