MC18 Powervalve sleeve not listed as a part number

Wed Feb 06, 2019 12:27 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi All....wondering if anyone can help me find 2 missing powervalve sleeves that sit inside the barrell and appear to be missing from my relined items. I have attached a photo below of the missing item and what a normal sleeve inserted looks like. Funny thing is I cant see it listed as a part number on any fiche.

Looks to be 6mm by 8mm ish so may end up making some if I get nowhere.

Thanks for checking Rob.....I made the same mistake and ordered the part you mentioned....just as well really because I would have assembled the PV's without them but still missing the barrell inserts which are 8.5mmOD x 5.5mmID and 8mm long. I may have to get an engineering firm to make them from 8.5mm rod

I'll have a look at a new barrel I have. I don't remember any sleeve, but will check if it's part of the main assembly

Those inserts are generally removed when barrels are replated, as no steel items can be exposed to the plating solution for fear of contamination. (Sometimes, but rarely, they are epoxied over instead.)

We turn up new ones, as they're almost always damaged when removed,
