How’s it going hopefully this isn’t a dumb question to ask but is there a certain solution/ chemical that I could use to clean the frame by hand to give it a fresher look? Any products you guys have tried or recommend I seen a guy using sand paper on YouTube but don’t really want go that route I have a feeling I’m a give the frame ugly scratches and ruin the surface of the frame and tricks or tips would be appreciated

Does the NSR250...(such as whatever model yours is) have a protective clear coating on the frame applied by the manufacturer when the bike was new?

I think some alloy automotive parts are initially sealed with some kind of protective clear coating...and when you sand them - you would be rubbing this
off.

Then in the future those parts are more prone or exposed to corrosion etc.

The frame's anodised, and any caustic liquid or sandpaper will destroy the finish... unless it's already been stripped and polished in a previous life. Even then it's possible (although unlikely) that it's been clear coated.

The best thing is to completely strip it and have it vapour blasted, but that's rather extreme, and most people won't want to go to that level, so you're really left with careful hand cleaning with gentle solvents and a toothbrush! (Use automotive approved products suitable for alloys.) Brake cleaner or degreasers such as Gunk or Jizer can get the majority of the grime off, or you can even use TYGA's "soup" (although it's not particularly environmentally friendly!), but the worst of the stains will remain without a deep clean by vapour blasting.
