MC28 PGM4 issues. Does anyone repair these?

Hi All,

My 1996 NSR250 MC28 PGM 4 ecu has started to give me issues. When putting the key card in bike powers up and then shuts off or turns on and off repeatedly but unable to start the bike. Been thru the wire harness multiple times and all grounds and connections are good. Thought it might be the key card switch so i hooked up an external switch and still has the same problem. Replaced all the relays as well but still no help.

Has anyone else had any issues like this? I'm assuming its the PGM ecu. I have 2 key cards the factory card and the HRC 30 card. Wire harness was modified to work with the HRC card and Ive gone thru the harness several times to make sure all the connections were good.

Any help would be great. Not sure if these PGM can be fixed and a replacement one inst cheap. I live in the US and dont know of anyone that works on these.

Have you tried the battery, either fully charged or a new one. PGM is sensitive to low charge. Typically there’s a rapid fire clicking sound of the steering lock solenoid going on and off.
