Crankcase numbers

Can anyone inform me of what range MC18 R5K engine numbers start and finish at. I can’t seem to be able to confirm what what range they start from in my parts catalogue and when they turned into MC21 cases. Thanks in advance.

1989 NSR250 MC18 R5/6K : MC16E-113003 ~ MC16E-1149562

All MC18 R5K & R6K cases are the same. (I.e. no difference between R and SP.)

90-93 NSR250 MC21 : MC16E-1200001 ~ MC16E-1285480

There are two different types of MC21 engine cases, although they are interchangeable. The "later" cases have an additional oil feed for the RHS main crank bearing and require the corresponding oil pump (unless premixing, of course).
