It is an nsr mc18 with swing and rear wheel of mc21, fork of gsx and front wheel 16.5 magnesium.
It a track day bike.
Actually I have 4 engines.
1 mc16
Mc18
Mc21
And nf5 1987.
Actually I use mc16 (while I rebuild my mc18) with mc18 barrels ported (similar than nf5 barrels), head modified and ktm 125 flat piston (I saw people using Rm but it is not same degrees (8 vs 10) so better to make it flat.
Actually I use 2x 38 PWK and NX5 exhaust.
I'm making 2 independent CDI programmable with 4 different curves for the nf5 ignition wheel.
I'm thinking about making a project. I saw tyga 300cc, I think it's just a normal nsr150cc adapted to the 250. So I got the idea of putting a set of malossi 180cc from nsr125cc to the 250 cases. What do you guys think about it? Did anyone tried it?
Great project you have there, and can't wait to see how you get on!
Interesting idea about the Malossi kit. I thought about that many years ago, but have never actually seen one, so no idea if it can be made to work. The TYGA 300 kit is indeed based on the NSR150SP barrels, but has taken 15 years of development to get to where it is today, and just about the only thing NSR150SP about now is the exterior shape of the barrels, so be prepared to put some work in to make the Malossi conversion viable! _________________ Andy.
