MC21 bent or twisted rear subframe?

Sat May 04, 2019 11:59 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

The rear of my mc21 does not sit central to the rear tyre, would i be right in thinking the rear subframe may be twisted? Any way of checking apart from obvious bends and flaking paint?

It's very common for the subframe to be bent/twisted on the MC21 & MC28 unfortunately, even after a relatively light crash.

Is it possible to straighten them Andy or not advisable. Had the bike on a paddock stand and one side of subframe was higher than the other.

They're only mild steel, so easy enough to tweak... not necessarily easy to get perfect once bent though. Should get it close though.
