I'm getting my MC21 completely repainted. While the serial number does not specifically identify the original colours, it is within the range for the white, blue (and speck of yellow) like so:
Does anyone know the codes for the blue, white and yellow on this NSR 250 MC21? I need these to give to the painter.
Did you find the Honda colour code on the subframe, under the seat?
To be frank I think you are going to struggle to find the RAL or Automotive paint codes of this scheme because I think originally the base colour will have been white paint and the blue and yellow highlights will have been applied in decal graphics....the tank was probably painted but all the rest was likely decals.
You could try to use a colour chip chart against some original panels/graphics and get the closest match. Or if you have access to an original panel/decal you could ask a paint supplier to scan it with the magic eye and give you the exact match (ironically I did this yesterday to get a like paint match for the Rothmans tank on my MC21).
Or you could paint it the colours you want, it's your bike, build it just how you like
Thank you Max. I cannot find the code under the seat unfortunately.
So go with the Ross / Rose white - NH196 as base colour and then a guess on the blue? I do have the tank in this scheme to match, but it's rather old and could be a bit faded. It's almost a purple blue!
So tank painted but rest of blue and yellow are stickers? Is that correct?
It's a fair point you make - looks like I'll go with the NH196 base and best guess for the blue and yellow.

Just my opinion, no rules in this game! It's yours to make how you want...
I would guess that you want to match the tank? you might be surprised how bright the tank comes up if you ask your painter/bodyshop to put a polishing mop over it...you will cut back the contaminants left on the surface and may find the real blue or one you can live with...
It may have lost some of its vibrancy due to UV damage but thats part of the ageing process it should look right (period) on the bike.
As Andy has provided the correct part numbers maybe you can find a panel/decal that has the correct blue (but it may well be faded as well)
I guess you have multiple options, but the first major decision is:
decals patterned & created in a vinyl to match or painting directly over the white with blue colour matched paint.
Image Works or other decal manufacturers may have some of the patterns on file 🤞but if not probably paint is the way forward...
There are some cracking designs out there, Andy's Cup Noodles are excellent and there are many others (I always fancied a Guiness paint scheme black/cream with a big gold harp on the side, pure genius!)...

In my experience, the blue doesn't fade anything like the R-134 "Fighting Red", but yes, you absolutely want to colour-match the tank, unless you're going to repaint that as well.

The part numbers above are for the triangular yellow flashes on the side panels. _________________ Andy.
