Collar dimensions

Thu Apr 09, 2020 11:47 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hello all. I have had my MC21 since November and am just working through it as it has obviously been stood a while, just a good clean and replace what is needed at the moment, I will put it in the garage section too when I get pics.

Can anybody help with the collar dimensions and material that fits between the frame lugs at the top subframe mount. It is item 7 on the frame parts diagram J13. I can measure up and turn one but not sure if it is tight fit, loose or even material as it is described as color pivot (I assume it should read collar).

Thanks for help

Hi Camo, and welcome to NSR-WORLD. Smile

That spacer is just like the one in the wheels between the bearings, to help prevent over-tightening. I'd just make it a slip fit out of any alloy stock. I've got an MC21 frame and subframe in the HRC cupboard, that I will try and get to tomorrow [no guarantees!], but the dimensions and material aren't critical.

Ok that's great thanks for the help. If you manage the dimensions that's great but if it is only to prevent overtightening I should be ok

Yeah, it's just to stop the top of the cast section from pulling in.
