MC28 Build

Sat May 30, 2020 4:51 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

So what with all the spare time we are having in lockdown (no having to visit fam every other weekend) I have started to sort through the various MC28 spares I've collected over the years. In doing so, I though the best way to see what parts I had, was to try to build it up into a roller, and possibly even a runner.

Undecided as to what to build it as, but it's an old 94 Rothmans SP chassis, with all the SP goodies.

Just saying.....

Tom, you got too many goodies still lying around in that shed of yours, it's time me and Delboy paid you a visit again to thin some out !!!!!!.

Not so many goodies now Les, just about enough to build a complete bike (with JMac, Leigh & Paul G's assistance)

Cleared some space and built a mobile bench to get the build started.

Whats that I spy on the shelf above the 28 chassis then Tom ?. I do hope you aint gonna use that Halfords 2 stroke oil in the old 28 when she's finished, good luck with it anyway, and plenty of piccies as well please.

Broke out the Hyper Clean the other day and gave the spare MC28 cases I have a good scrub. Came up nice, although perhaps I should have tried Matt @Tyga's special cleaning 'soup'. Only I can’t remember the recipe!

I found a lovely transmission in the HRC cupboard that would slip right in there! Very Happy

You know I should have taken one. Wasn’t that dirty to be honest. Usual muck around the front sprocket
