Hello Group, recently acquired 1985 NS250R.Want to make sure i’m using the right 2T oil as premix and the ratio. I am planing to premix 40:1 Yamalube 2R oil
Please, correct me if the oil brand and ratio if needed.
Also, if you know any other premix brands to recommend

Hi, for premix on my mc21 I used Silkolene Pro 2, and on my race bikes I used Castrol 747, wouldn't recommend the 747 for road use though, the shelf life is short once mixed.

I'd be inclined to go considerable more "oil rich", and work my way back. I'd start closer to 30:1.

Any synthetic 2T oil (semi or full synthetic) is going to be massively higher spec than those available in 1984, so I wouldn't worry too much about brand.
