Bear with me here ….. I was idly watching the new series of Car SOS the other day when Ethanol free fuel came up in conversation for classic car engines and Tim (the plank) visited a bio fuel manufacturer who was producing ethanol free fuel specifically for classic engines
Anyway I found these guys with a retailer based in my area - thing is has anyone used any of this - embedded video featuring Steve Parrish and an FZ750
I wouldn't be thinking about ethanol free fuel if I had a bear with me!
I know that they sell ethanol free fuel in Castle Combe and it's used by classic cars. I bought one of these for my tank. https://www.flyingspares.com/fuel-diamond-0558775.html Seems to help. I always use Shell power where possible.

To be honest if I’d have read that in the back of the News of the world Sunday supplement nestling in between adverts for polyester slacks and wide fitting shoes with Velcro straps I’d have scoffed at the claims as fanciful nonsense like something from Jackanory
But given you’ve been bang on with all your other tips and good advice I’ve bought one ! _________________ Nick

Great that we've still got a sense of humour still 😅
Mine did have a mesh cover to stop it rattling in the tank. My view is that if it doesn't make any difference it was worth a try. _________________ Why do things simply when you can complicate them

We’ve 90 (E10) and 95 (E5) the latter with 5% ethanol is “as far as I’m aware” the closest you can get in the UK to 100% petrol from a regular forecourt garage and common across the European Union 🇪🇺
Sounds like you guys get the better deal and won’t be needing the lead coffin weight mentioned above to slip into your gas tank 😃 _________________ Nick

Rumour has it that some BP filling stations in the UK have ethanol free Ultimate, but not all of them. However, also a rumour, is that BP Ultimate consistenly has the least ethanol content around the country.
Not sure of his credentials, but this guy tests various makes and grades...
