I sent a cylinder out for Nikasil plating (I'll write up why another day). The very highly reputable firm had me pull out all of the studs and the RC valve which I dutifully did. When the cylinder was handed back to me I was also provided with the water outlet spigot in a bag which had been very expertly removed.
Unfortunately the firm glass beaded the entire cylinder to clean it up. Personally I did not expect them to do this and when I asked they said they do it to every cylinder that comes in unless the customer specifically asks for them not to do it. As a result of an over zealous glass beader, they took off actual material. Now the delema I have is the water spigot is a very loose fit into the aluminum. There is no away a sleeve retainer is going to hold this in. It should be a press fit. There are even dimples on the side of the aluminum cylinder where it's got a final securing.
I searched the forum to see if anyone else has had this happen, but didn't find anything. I'm open to suggestions, but epoxy is not one I'm going to do. Left to my own I'm going to do a slight over bore on the hole then make a new spigot that is a few thousands over so I can press it in.
To me this is a total pain and is gonna set me back a few weeks while I do the machine work. I should have just ordered a new cylinder. Note, this is a 150 cylinder as I run a 300 kit.
Thanks for feedback in advance. Pic shows the details.

I had mine done by TTW on my RS250 and they refitted new spigots for me before returning. They are bonded in with some kind of glue. You could always speak to Sean at the tuning works and see what he uses ?
Both solutions are common. I've seen OEM NSR barrels with bonding residue around the spigots. Personally, I'd be inclined to go your suggested route and turn up a new oversized alloy spigot to press in. _________________ Andy.
