Ready for Storage

Tue Nov 05, 2024 12:45 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hello fellow Comrades,

Life has gotten too busy for my 2 NSR's. I now have 4 children (4,3,1y/o and Newborn), I am trying to sell my MC21 but I would like too keep my MC28.

What is the best known methods for storing a bike for the foreseeable future? Is it as simple as just remove all the oils and liquids or is there more to it? Thanks for your help, also someone please buy my MC21 Laughing Laughing

Personally I’d just empty the fuel tank and give it a swill round with some 2 stroke oil to protect the inside, disconnect battery and remove, and spray everything with Acf 50. You could drain the coolant but if it’s fresh then I’d leave it in , same for the gearbox oil.
Then put it somewhere it won’t get damp or you can get those cocoons to put bikes in.

Hi,

I would drain the fuel in the float bowls as I have seen some crazy images of gunk on the internet.

Long flat tip screw driver needed and from the right hand side of the bike.
