Sadly, I've been informed today of the passing of Les (Lesviffer750), a longstanding and very well-liked member of our community.

I'm informed he hadn't suffered any long or short-term illness, and that he as just taken from us swiftly without pain or discomfort.

My condolances to his family and all friends who knew him personally. A great character, always with plenty of funny biking stories to tell.

Rest in Peace, Les.

Oh no that’s terribly sad news, I’d had a few conversations on here with Les. Nice chap. My thoughts are with his family.

So shocked to hear this. Les was a lovely fella and had some fun evenings with Les and John tearing it up at Brands Hatch.

2010...NSR-World Track Day at Llandow circuit. I was there early morning so was driving a loop around the adjacent roads. I pulled my van into a lay-by where a Motorhome was parked up. Out popped Les and JohnnyMac. Years prior on the forum chatting but we'd never met before, we all introduced ourselves using our forum 'call signs'. Well it was a great day at Llandow and cemented a lasting friendship. Together we did many Stafford Show Grand Prix Paddocks, flying the NSR & RS HRC flag. As well as many Mallory Park Festival 1000 Bikes track events. Fond memories of Les and I on our MC21 track bikes zipping around Mallory Park with the Travelling Marshalls on big 4T bikes busting their guts to keep up with us. I had a good chat with Les just after Christmas, much of the conversation about NSR and RS (as was usual), as spirited as ever. Les, one of the best, you will be missed my friend.

A celebration of Les's life will be held tomorrow at 2.30pm. Maybe those of us who knew him might take a moment to remember him.
