Hello everybody!

I’m Dimitri and I’ve one NSR250 MC21SP in the wrong color ( Cabin one actually and frame number show rothmans .. ) and I would like to put it back in Rothmans as original paint

I would like to know if someone has the color code or RAL for the blue / white / yellow

I found the ref PB231 for the blue but I’m not sure about it

Hope you can help or maybe this case was already check on the forum but I don’t find it ..

I always thought or was lead to believe it with Shasta white but found it to be slightly on the cream side of white so swerved it and went for traffic white Ral code 9016 as you need the white to contrast against the darker colours as much as possible

Not sure on the red as I had it colour matched and my Blue is the 1980’s Rothmans from Gardners era and also used on the Rothmans Porsche and Metro 6R4
Believe they changed the Blue pantone colour in 1991/92

For the white it will be easy I think because we got the white already on the bike, but the blue is more difficult because on the rothmans 1992 this one is more lighter than the rohtmans "normal" color shows on cars an bike like MC18 SP..

The Ref in the color chart is nor right PB231 Royal Blue ?

Yes, the MC18 blue is significantly darker than the MC21 and MC28.

The white is NH-196 Ross White.

I believe the red is R-134 Fighting Red, but I am not certain. Obviously the red and gold stripes are stickers, not paint.

I cannot guarantee the colour accuracy, but if I had to bet a can of Coke and a Mars Bar on it, I would say the blue on both the 1992 MC21R R7N and 1992 MC21SP R8N is PB231 "Real Blue". Pretty damn close, I'd say!

The R7N front fender part number: 61100-KV3-900ZA *PB231*

Really, the best way to go, would be to source an OEM panel, and get it matched by a bodyshop/paint supplier. Here are a couple of options:

You could maybe even try a sticker, however be aware that non-genuine stickers are often a different colour to genuine Honda stickers.
