Moto GP at Laguna Seca

Moto GP at Laguna is just 3 weeks away. I was wondering how many people from this forum are going to be there with there bikes? I was thinking we could all meet up somewhere. Just a thought maybe we could give the boys from the other side of the pond a run for their money. Wink

you know Im goin steve. Almost have my bike put back together. I know a few pubs/bars in the area to go hang out after the races. Where will you be staying? are you camping out? i'll be satying at my dad's house a few miles from the track in Marina. I can't wait! Its going to be insane! Every hotel in the area has been sold out for months. The city of monterey has no idea whatt their in for.

I'll be there, but since all I got is track bikes, won't have any with me.

I may ride my "other" bike down one of the days depending on what type of parking I can get for it (don't really feel like parking it in a dirt lot). Probably do Saturday, and go down to Cannery Row Saturday night to hang out for a bit.

Still need to work on this weekends race write up, and send Andy that plus last months write up.

So, who is going to organize a meet? if anyone wants to come up to Aptos (just south of Santa Cruz, about 30 minutes from the track) on Friday night, we could do a BBQ at my girl friends house. Nice views as it's on the cliffs looking out over the bay. We could then add two more NSR's to the showing, as well as an RS Smile Maybe do a nice photoshot out on the back deck with the wonderful Monterey bay for the back drop Wink

Thanks

that might be a plan. lets try to beat the outside of japan record for NSRs at the same place. Aptos is right up the road and its beautiful...all matters on what my companions want to do though. I think I may have about 6 people staying with me in Marina. lets get a roll cal of whos going.

Sounds like that might work. Maybe we should trade cell #'s so we can find each other. It's going to be a crazy weekend. I'm planning on being up there early Friday morning.

People are more then welcome to contact me directly at chas@nsr250.net and I can get/give contact info, and give instructions to the house. We should figure out a time for this if we want to do it so I can make sure I am back in town in time.

thanks

Wow -- I fail to lurk on the site and find that in my absence, social events are being planned!

It would be swell to meet other NSR-WORLDers.... and a bikes on the deck photo op would be spectacular.

(To see what that looks like: http://ice.he.net/~spclass4/bmt/images/chopper_deck1.jpg

or

http://ice.he.net/~spclass4/bmt/images/chopper_deck2.jpg )

As Chas mentioned, you can talk to him about details. Seems that he's planning this thing anyway.... Razz

Cheers!

Need some help while I'm out there for a week. Some buddies and I plan to rent bikes after the weekend and ride the coast. Could anyone direct me to a good place to rent in the local area of the track. Don't care what we ride Sport or Cruiser.

Thanks,
Jeff Sz.
