there is a guy on 400 gaybike selling a fox shock from a CBR600 which he says will fit a NSR as he has the correct spacers, can this be done?

uhm, that would be me Monkey - small world this one, as I listed it here in the classifieds first before Nigel suggested the 400 forum. Jim Mason may be able to verify that this can be done with a FOX shock anyway, as I bought it from him (and I've run it on my bike so I know it works and works well). Not sure if a stock CBR shock would work because unlike the FOX, it is not adjustable for length, so that might be an issue. Maybe others can weigh in on that.

I have a CBR fox shock on my mc-21. It needs to have ride height adjustment. I don't know exactly what needs to be done to make it fit. It was on the bike when i bought it. There is about 15mm of threads showing on the ride hieght adjustment.

The Ohlins CBR shock that i put on my mc-18 need the top mounting hole opened up. Both the upper and lower bushings needed to be narrowed. It took the machine shop 45 min to make the bushings match the stock shock.

The Ohlins CBR shock is about 3cm longer than the mc-18 shock with the ride hieght adjuster all the way in (shortest over all lenght).
