Hi all. I asked for some help getting my slow mc18 to go a bit quicker. So after reading all the responses (thankyou every one for their ideas). I decided the best corse of action to take was the simple one. Buy another mc18 that allready goes faster. So now i have two of the little buggers. Shall use one for track days and the other for spares, as i now have a spare everthink I'm doing a track day at mallory on the 30th aug (with hottrax), don't know if any of you fancy it. I can't wait.

Sometimes our silliest ideas aren't necessarily the worst then?!
You got on the slippery slope fast! I always say that one NSR is never enough, and there aren' many of us that haven't, or don't still, have at least two NSRs at once!
Some would say it's an addiction - most would agree it's a perversion! _________________ Andy.

How slow was the 18, did it pull at the top of the rev range, i took my race bike to the track and it was pants, very slow, made the 21 i had with me feel like a rocket ship, i have since discovered that the servo or part of the pgm is knackered, so to solve my problem i have manually moved the servo round to keep the power valves open, it means crap bottom end, but should fly up top... have a look and see if you servo is working, as long as you have a good battery, it should work while reving the bike, listen for the noise and look down between th fairing to see if its moving when you gas it!! might help....
The power valves seem to work ok. Had a go at setting them up but made no difference. I think it needs setting up on a dyno and the jetting sorted.
I just couldn't be arsked to sort it out as these bikes are so cheap at the moment thats why i bought another. By the way the one i just bought came from Peterborough, from a guy called Matt.
Best you get yourself along to the next dyno day then huh? _________________ MC21SP Plaything
