F3 Shock On An MC28?

Does anyone know if you can put a stock F3 Shock on an MC28 I know people have done it with the fox shocks?

i have been told that that they will fit the 21 with a small alteration to the top mount of the shock
so i assume that the stock unit would be the same
but i dont know if the 28 shock is the same as the 21
